Facebook has done it again!

Yet again Facebook has taken our publishing rights away!

The original "If breastfeeding offends you, put a blanket over YOUR head!" group had over 300,000 members. Facebook removed our publishing rights for no apparent reason and I began a new group by the same name. That new group reached only 30,000 fans. Yet again I have logged into Facebook to discover that my publishing rights were removed. At this point, I don't feel it is worth the effort to start *another* group. Please feel free to stick around on this blog as a source for information and hopefully some giveaways in the future. And thank you to everyone who supported the Facebook group!

  1. That's awful! Did they even tell you why they took away your publishing rights? Poo on facebook.

  4. We were removed too....it took them a week and they put us back up again. Interesting how they remove their pages accidentally...did you file for reinstatement?

  5. FYI you can work around this by making a private profile and adding FRIENDS instead of fans...it's private content then.

  6. I'm sure it's because of the word BREAST in the group, or the possibility that "someone" may be offended by seeing bare breasts.

  7. OMG I was wondering where the group went! That is utter crap!

  8. That's terrible. Can we email FB to protest or something do you think? I wonder if people "Report" it? Needs its own group.

  10. Can we protest? I its a hassle but if you start a new page this can help them see your determination and maybe let you eventually keep it.

Motherhood is precious. Don't defile it with lack of couth.
Cover your breast - no one wants to see you whip it out like some kind of cow teat to milk for your child.

Do you cover the bottle when u feed ur child formula?
Get real. there is nothing uncouth about beastfeeding your baby.

  12. could anyone help me please?I am a midwife in UK. I am currently filming a breastfeeding promotional music DVD it will get lots of attention as it is planned to shock and amuse. I would really like to contact a celebrity breastfeeder to give support. It is non profit making. I can be contacted on virginia@kentmidwiferypractice.co.uk
