I love your site and the great slogan. I still breastfeed my little one and she is past 2yrs. What a privilege to be able to do so! She calls it booba and is very soothed by the very act of breastfeeding. While going through the family court ordeal last year I was told by the Judge to wean. With all the stress involved the milk almost dried up. But, we persevered secretly and the day after final hearing the milk flowed abundantly once more. Booba is tops!!

I would like to see a Blog about C/S healing and VBAC. So many women are being put through a system and end up w/ C/S. I know this first hand as a mom of 2 C/S and 2 VBA2C's. Women need a chance to heal, and understand their feelings are legitimate. Having a healthy baby doesn't mean your'e birth was as it should've or could've been. Opening the door for this conversation could help many women.

I would love this bag, we're trying for baby number two. I fed our daughter for 8 months, wanted to go longer but she weaned herself after my doctor told me I wasn't giving her enough and told me to supplement with formula. I was so devastated and our daughter decided a bottle was easier. But I'm hoping to do better with our second child.

We had (still have) a really nice heavy tote from WIC, when she was breastfeeding our two girls. Way better than any diaper bag we ever had. I'm not going to muscle in on the giveaway, since I don't have breasts to feed with, but WAY TO GO all of you. This is the right way to do this, and anyone who doesn't think it's appropriate to breastfeed can take a walk. Maybe they should discuss their issues with their therapist.

ReplyDeleteHi there, I would like to see a Blog post about Young women and their fear of breast feeding in public! I am only 24 and my baby girl is 6 months old and i really cannot see much of GEN Y having confidence enought to breastfeed in public! I try my best to make any new mum feel comfortable breast feeding in public by being the boob out breastfeed anywhere woman lol yes even change rooms when shopping! OR a blog about midwives and the lack of support really because my sister was having trouble and the woman told her to grow beans and when i had trouble in hospital the first thing they did was offer me the bottle but i stood my ground!

Would like to see a post about how to handle family members (read: mother) telling you that your child (2 years old) is too old or telling that child they are too old.
Grandmother: Johnny, don't you think you're too old to still be nursing? Only babies do that.
Johnny: *uncomfortable silence*
Mother: Mom, that's between him and I. He's not ready yet. Please stop saying that. Blah, blah, blah.....
I've seen it happen. Stay out of it, grandma.... :-)

Wow, that would be the perfect bag to use for my school supplies. I am in nursing school, and am disgusted at how breastfeeding is NEVER brought up as ways to "avoid" many of the disease processes we talk about. I friended many of my classmates, and several had made comments about all of the breadfeeding topics I post about. They shouldn't be surprised with how often I bring it up in class as well!!!
